Quinta de Val-Boa OLO, Vinho Regional Minho, 2012

Quinta de Val-Boa is located in Atei, a region of Mondim de Basto and has been in the family for 150 years. In the capable hands of Jorge Albuquerque da Quinta, the 3.5ha vineyard was planted with Azal, Trajadura, Avesso, Alvarinho and Pederna in 2003. Four years later and with the help from old family friend Dirk Niepoort, Quinta de Val Boa started to combining the native Portuguese grapes to produce wines with outstanding character, quality and originality.

OLO is made from a blend of Trajadura, Pederna, Alvarinho and Avesso e Azal. A serious white wine combining lightness with intensity and freshness. It magically tantalises your taste buds with hints of oranges, apples and citrus, combined perfectly with an underlying creamy texture. Heaven in a glass.
